[MKOB] Trappist Ale Yeast

Hello,
   I was planning on doing a Trippel this week and ordered all the 
materials including a vial of White Labs Trappist Ale Yeast.

   It got to me warm, despite the ice pack.  I decided to make a starter 
just in case it was still viable. 

    My question is, has anyone used this yeast before?  I was expecting 
a very vigorous start up in the starter ... and that hasn't happened.  
The yeast is alive, displayed by a very fine formation of CO2 bubbles 
coming to the top ... but it's a slow fermentation and not what I 
expected from this high gravity yeast.

    Is this normal activity for this type of yeast and should I  go 
ahead and use it ... or should I order another?
