[MKOB] FW: hops

I tried some Nothernbrewer a couple of years ago.  They didn't survive
August.

 

This past year I planted three sets of Cascades, the vines lived all year,
there under leaves and compost right now.

 

There were not any hop flowers, but, there's not supposed to be the first
year.

 

We'll see if the Cascades grow better here.   The guy at the nursery called
them vigorous.  But he's in Oregon, not SE Louisiana.

 

It's 6:21am, I'm about to go light the fire under my strike water.  Ten
gallons of a dark red ale.
