I agree with Jim. Having judged before it is just a time consuming thing
unless you just want to throw some numbers down. It would be helpful to
have a commercial representative, if available for each type of beer as
reference. For the first shot I thought all did a great job. Tom has done
a lot of pro judging for the Great American Beer Fest the Holy Grail of beer
competition in the U.S. George has had experience in judging and organizing
these competitions in his younger years for the Dixie cup and other Crescent
City Homebrewers competitions. George and Tom would be good resources to
provide some consultation concerning improvements that might be helpful for
the next competition.
Good job and Congrats to Casey, Mike and Anthony.

Russ, I don't think it was bad at all.
Things never go as planned in something like this and it is OUR club.
IF someone whats to try and do better, It's up to you.
I don't think anyone else can do much better.
Some of us did give you suggestions after you asked for them.
I think it's great that we ran out of forms, it means everyone wanted to
participate and tried to make an effort at a style of beer they may not
always make.
That is what this club is suppose to be about, making beer, getting someone
else's opinion about it, and trying to improve upon the beer we all make.
Yes it's hard to hear your beer is not good, I know because I hear it almost
everytime I bring a beer, but I don't care I like most of mine.
A competition is a great way to not only learn how to make better beer, But
also how hard it is to win, and to host a competition. You found that out
first hand.
We ran late, but I remember several nights being there with more beer to
taste at ten o'clock.
The only ones that don't learn are those that don't bring beer to meetings
and listen to what everyone has to say about it.
Hey everyone just Relax, Have a homebrew and brew an IPA for the next
competition. Cause I'm brewing an APA and kicking everyone's A##.
Jim C.
Pres. MKOB for now.
