I think the reference beer is an excellent beer, even for main stream beers.
Kind of sets the stage for tasting.

Yes, I plan to bring the Belgian beer.  I think Nick
Long will also be bringing his Belgian beer.

We can taste and comment, I really don't need the
judging event - heck, we all can taste can't we.

I really like your idea about having so many tastings
to help the judges.  Now we will also need judges to
judge the judging of the judges.  Whew, sounds better
and better all the time!
