MKOB members, please review the e-mail below regarding the interclub
competition.

Guys, lets try to decide at the Christmas party on Sunday what style our
club would like to choose for a style for the competition. Let's open to
nominations. Our MKOB styles for our club competitions for the last year
and a half have been red ale, porter/stout, and Belgian strong ale. Any
ideas? Let's nominate a few and vote on it on Sunday.

Casey

Let me provide more info on the idea. It was discussed between
myself of Redstick and Steve Broaddus of Dead Yeast to resurrect the
Competition that was put on a couple of years ago by Crescent City.
This competition would be a limited number of styles as opposed to
the whole BJCP listing. Participating Clubs would choose a style.
So if we had 4 Clubs there would be four styles. Anybody can enter
any or all of the 4 styles.

As of this time I haven't had any response from CCH. SUDS has
expressed interest. Of course we need to have a venue to judge the
beers and right now Dead Yeast has offered Marcellos in Lafayette.
Other suggestions would be entertained. The tentative time frame
would be about the middle of March.

You can direct suggestions to myself or Steve at steve-deadyeast at cox.net
