MKOBers,

I realize that this doesn't have anything to do with brewing.
However, as the majority of you do live here in the New Orleans area, I
thought that I would pass this information on.

It pertains to two LA laws, wether they are new or just new to me, I
got this from my wife today.

This just in from a friend with the Police Jury............

Hey everybody you might want to pass this info on to anybody that drives
in Louisiana. Wayne Torres one of our project managers was in Chalmette
this morning and got pulled over by a state trooper for going over the
speed limit in a school zone. The trooper told him starting tomorrow a
speeding ticket in a school zone even if it's one mile over the limit is
going to be $1,200.00. If you are going eleven or more miles over the
limit you get the $1,200.00 ticket plus a citation and possible jail
time. It will be considered a misdemeanor. Then you have to appear in
court and pay court costs. Also, starting tomorrow if you see a trooper
on the interstate with someone pulled over you have to switch to the
left lane before you pass him or you will get a minimum $150.00 ticket.
It's because so many of them are hit while writing tickets.
