[MKOB] WYES Beer Tasting

Dan, You will probably be sorry you asked but here are my comments :

	1. Extended hours more detail noted in #3 below.
	
	2.  More brewery representatives rather than uninformed distributors  
and their friends.  This is what sets the Pensacola Beer tasting 	 
apart from WYES, the brewery representative knows about the beer and  
distributor should know its availability.

	3.  The beers provided by the d should not only mirror the selection  
@ a your local store  but should also showcase new 		beers from the  
various breweries that could be test marketed in the area.

	4. Several suggestions for improving crowd density, allowing more  
time for informed presentations and making this a tasting not a 	beer  
guzzling event.

		a. Extend tasting from 2 hrs to 4 or longer, but cut off beer 1 hr  
before closing and have food and entertainment to hold people 		after 	 
tasting for a sobering up hour.  The MKOB  held beer tastings like  
this for 4 years with no problem.

		b. Follow the Alabama or Virginia and Carolina models where they  
have 2 to 3 hr. tastings but you can choose an afternoon or 		night	 
shift.  The ones I am familiar with run from 1 to 3 and the second  
shift runs from 5 to 8.	

		c. Another option is lower entry price and provide taster w/ a set  
number of free tickets and let them pay a fee for additional 		tickets.

	5.  Presentations on the culinary aspect of beer i.e. beer pairings,  
cooking with beer etc.

	6.  Provide a program that provides brewery name short description of  
beer, distributor or brewery representative at the tasting and a   
	     map showing layout showing where these beers can be found.
