Kind of interesting that we have not heard anything about this until now.
Guess they don't value the homebrew clubs.. They don't say what time the
fest starts. I did search the website and find out it ends at 6:00 p.m.  

Another thing to considre is that Zapps is a fundraiser, but this website
doesn't say if this event will be a fundraiser or not. Just curious.

Hey MKOB'ers,

To my shock early today I found out that Abita is putting on a Beerfest in
Mandeville at the Fountainbleau State Park, to me it looks like it may be a
good one, Abita themselves are not running in but a private group out of
Alabama is going to, I have talked to the guy in charge of this event &
asked if our club can take part in serving our homebrew there, he is suppose
to let me know if we can, I told him that we participate in WYES locally &
Zapp's in Baton Rouge every year but he wanted to check with the lawyers?
The biggest problem I see is they have the same day as the Zapp's Beer
tasting & I told him so but he thought theirs was in April? So I'm thinking
we will have to pick one or the other, but if we are not able to pour our
homebrew here than maybe we still should attend Zapp's In Baton Rouge, but
we will have to take a vote on it.... Who would have thought we would have
to choose from 2 beerfests on the same day? 

Anyway I just wanted to keep ya'll in the loop because I'm sure you will
hear about it because Abita just press released it today.
