Hi MKOBer's,

 

I just found out we are confirmed for April 10th to have a Brew-off with
the Crescent City Homebrew club at Heiner Brau brewery. For those who
were not in the club or didn't attend this was an awesome event we had a
couple years back, basically how it works is both clubs do all the labor
in brewing a large batch of beer & everyone attending takes home 5 gal.
of wort to ferment. This is an all day process from start to finish so
you really get a good idea how a brewery functions, plus we will have a
great time mingling & getting to know the other local Homebrew club,
there will be a charge for food & beer but it's pretty minimal. The
style of beer brewed & charge to us has not been determined yet. This
was one of the best functions MKOB has had since I've been a member so I
would highly recommend attending.

 

We are also confirmed with a driver & van for the Pub Crawl & for the
Zapp's beer tasting in Baton Rouge.

Please keep in mind there will be a charge per rider for both events but
very minimal considering the distance we will be going & the fun we will
have, also there is a limited amount of people that can fit on it I
think about 14 riders so it will have to be done by whoever pays first
gets on.

If anyone has any topics they want brought up at the Thurs. meeting
please let me know. 

Don't forget that dues for 2010 is due next meeting $25.
